The board of Applica Test & Certification AS has hired Alf-Tore Hov as new general manager. He comes from the job as General Manager for quality of ANC navigation and automation products in Wärtsilä Voyage Solutions. Previously, he was general manager of Wärtsilä Valmarine and also has experience from product certification at Det Norske Veritas.
Applica Test & Certification offers environmental and safety tests at Høvik, radio testing in Mandal and EMC tests at Høvik and Mandal. Applica Test & Certification is Notified Body for the EMC, RED og MED-directives. Alf-Tore Hov will have a place of work at Høvik.
Jan Rune Pedersen, who has been general manager since Applica took over the DNV-GL test center, will continue to work for the company, but will concentrate more on technical tasks.
